• In order to offer a full range of services to our clients, we also assist in the fabrication and design of custom, handmade antique-reproduction, modern, and contemporary frames.  We also assist in the restoration of antique frames worn from years of use, or in need of complete repair.  As a general rule, we highly recommend all works of art on paper be framed behind glass, plexi, or within a vitrine.

  • Paper is highly susceptible to damage caused by improper hinging and fitting.  Hence the experience and knowledge of the frame maker and fitter cannot be understated.

Our experienced staff is highly trained to use the appropriate museum-quality materials and methods when hinging, matting, and framing art.  We use only acid-free cotton rag museum boards for matting and supply UV-grade glass and plexi.

  • We work with dealers, collectors, auction houses, and museums all over the world and are thus prepared to pack and ship works of art on paper of all kinds and sizes, both framed and unframed. Whether by certified carrier, professional art handler, or international agent, we can arrange safe packing or crating at our facility or with your preferred shipper.

Please see our Contact page for delivery instructions.

  • A systematic and comprehensive condition evaluation is an essential first step to any conservation treatment.  An evaluation is also necessary for condition report, on-site preventative treatment, pre-purchase consideration, and consultation with packers and shippers.  This process includes photo documentation, determination of structural and cosmetic condition, extent of past treatment, and recommendations for intervention.

Though we prefer to examine artworks at our facility, we do make on-site evaluations for an hourly fee.
